Charitable Foundation Student Achievement Award
The Rotary Club of Barrie Charitable Foundation  "Student Achievement Award”

Eligibility criteria:

1. A full time student from one of the City of Barrie’s High Schools at the time of nomination.
2. Nominated by teachers of the school, by a student (himself or herself), or by others, for having overcome significant challenges during their high school education towards a successful graduation.
3. Despite these challenges, the successful candidate will have demonstrated strong ongoing involvement in community service.
4. Acceptance from and registration at an Ontario College or University Program for full time post secondary education.
5. An economical need for funding assistance.

There are no specific academic criteria for the award.

Important Dates:

1. Application Deadline is April 29, 2016.
2. The Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Barrie Charitable Foundation selects the Award recipient.
3. The recipient and his/her High School are notified by May 20, 2016.
4. The certificate of the Award is presented at the successful candidate’s Commencement ceremony.
5. By September 2, 2016, the Award winner will be presented with a cheque for $1,000, payable to the student account at the post secondary institution.
